Dr Alok Shankar – Founder, Ravian Life Science Pvt Ltd

Established in 2005, Ravian Life Science was formed with the sole objective of manufacturing quality products and deliver them in time. Dr Alok Shankar, the co-founder of Ravian Life Science, is the driving force behind this new age pharmaceutical company. Apart from being the owner of this firm, he is the Director and CEO of various pharmaceutical companies such as Avillions Laboratories Pvt Ltd, Balaji Pharmatech Pvt Ltd, and Fierce One Pharmaceutical Pvt Ltd.  As an entrepreneur, he had to face the challenge of seeking the opportunity to identify the industry/domain. Dr Alok had overcome these challenges through his learning of dedication and time management. What impacted his professional life from his personal life teachings was that he was an IAS aspirant and determined to do extensive. That’s what made him overcome the challenges faced in the business sphere.

Ravian Life Science Pvt Ltd is established by a group of professionals backed by business experience of more than three decades in the pharma industry having certification for manufacturing of Food and Drugs Preparations. Ravian possess an ultra-modern state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities having WHO GMP since 2008, and a valid Manufacturing License of food Preparation issued by FSSAI (Food Safety and Standard Authority of India) and thereby having the International Certification from Uganda, Cambodia, Kenya, Ivory Coast and Iraq. Dr Alok states that,

Ravian has prioritized to manufacture and market medicines at reliable price to support the healthcare professional and the patients so that the medicines can be purchased at an affordable prices. It is into manufacturing of more than 200 formulations including segments of cardiovascular drugs, anti-diabetics, anti-convulsants, anti-depressants, anti-allergies, antibiotics, notropics, antiviral/ HIVs, Beta Lactam antibiotics & Cephalosporin and many such products.

Ravian consists of a team of well-established and qualified professionals in Regulatory Affairs Department which are involved in the development of New Medicinal Products, and advises on a full range of regulatory compliance and scientific issues related to generics (including complex generics) and new drugs. We have the expertise of preparing and compiling the Quality Dossiers in CTD and ACTD form along with the country specific and internationally acceptable guideline.

According to Dr Ashok, there is a huge opportunity ahead for the pharmaceutical business. India is participating as one of the biggest player in distributing the medicines all across the globe. Besides medicinal products there is also opportunity in manufacturing of food supplements i.e. Nutraceuticals. This is because food or parts of food are playing a significant role in modifying and maintaining normal physiological function, modulating immunity and thereby preventing as well as maintaining healthy human beings.  The principal reasons for the growth of the Nutraceutical’s market worldwide are the current population and the health benefit of an individual.

Dr Ashok consistently accepts in determination towards hard work and throughout his life he responded to all sorts of criticism with stillness. He trusts that if one has the determination and enthusiasm to work, one could do miracle in business as long as the integrity and honesty is preserved. He never cared for what the world or society had to say as long as he was convinced that the idea would work. In addition to that he is a simple man who made simple ideas into big business ventures.

He has several feathers to his cap & been awarded and recognised by many industrial bodies. Some of them are – Global Business Forum and Awards 2021 identified him with the Certificate for Dynamic Entrepreneur of the Year 2021, and Certificate for Most Innovative Company of the Year 2021 was presented to Ravian Life Science Pvt Ltd too.  National Business Achiever Awards, South Asia’s Biggest Trade & Industry Confluence certificate of appreciation was proudly presented to him for outstanding contribution under category Director.
