Anurag Agarwal – Turning the Complex World of Finance into Everyday Wisdom

For most people, finance feels like a locked door—full of numbers, jargon, and endless rules. For Anurag Agarwal, it’s a door that should always be open. As the founder of Anurag Agarwal Classes, he has dedicated himself to making finance not only understandable but also enjoyable.

Armed with a BCOM, CA, and CFA, Anurag began his career in the corporate world, building expertise in audit, due diligence, and fundraising. For eight years, he thrived in high-pressure roles, but something kept tugging at him. “I realized so many bright minds were being left behind—not because they couldn’t understand finance, but because no one had explained it in a way that truly connected,” he recalls. That realization became a turning point. At 31, he stepped away from a lucrative job to follow his true passion—teaching.

Since 2021, his focus has been CFA coaching, with a style rooted in clarity, relevance, and accessibility. Complex concepts like risk, investment strategies, and ethics are broken down into real-world examples—often with a dash of humor. “Finance is just another language,” he says. “My job is to make students fluent in it.” His approach attracts learners from all backgrounds, including those who once found finance intimidating.

The transition was far from easy. Shifting from corporate metrics to an educator’s patience required a mindset reset. Financial uncertainty tested his resolve, but support from his wife and the values instilled by his father—humility, hard work, and dedication—kept him moving forward.

Today, Anurag is not just shaping careers, he’s championing education reforms: integrating financial literacy into curricula, prioritizing skill-based learning, enhancing teacher training, and leveraging technology to reach rural and underprivileged students.

His advice to aspiring educators is as practical as it is inspiring: “Know your subject well, but know your student better. Knowledge matters, but connection changes lives.”

For Anurag, success isn’t defined by awards—it’s in the countless students, across borders, who now see finance as a tool for empowerment rather than a source of fear. And in that sense, every class he teaches is a victory.
