Since 2003, The Car Mall is providing unique experience to its clients in form of facilities such as selling, buying, financing, insurance, RTO activities and others, thereby giving peace of mind to its patrons. It operates under the USP of offering a wide range of cars from high end to regular ones under both used and new segment. Another experience that it provides is on the lines of 3S model – sales, service-loans and insurance, and spares. And to translate all this into a seamless customer experience it has an excellent team of trained and dedicated professionals at The Car Mall who have been there since inception and serving customers to their delight.
The Car Mall was founded by Shivam Chawla, a visionary who believes in converting dreams into reality. A seasoned entrepreneur with over 20 years of proven experience in the automotive industry, Shivam has been the driving force behind this venture. Popularly known as theautoxpert, an influencer on Instagram who aims to curate meaningful content for automotive enthusiasts, his love and passion for cars and automotive was and will always be the driving factor for any past and future endeavours. He started his career as a DSA with Kotak Mahindra Prime Ltd in 2003 for their car loan department, and gained an experience that will forever stay closest to his heart. This passion further evolved and ideated into what we know as The Car Mall, a multi brand car showroom that continues to bring happiness to its valuable customers spread over pan India for over two decades. He completed Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Symbiosis College, Pune. And currently, pursuing Diploma in Digital Marketing from IIM Vishakhapatnam.
According to Shivam,
“Well, I look at it as an opportunity to educate and share information about cars and automobile industry for a wide range from high end to affordable cars. To ensure that it reaches a wider audience we also have an in-house digital media team that creates content and vlogs specifically for automobiles and used cars that gets published at various social media platforms.”
Also, in India, there is definitely a promising scope in the used car segment and that what makes Shivam excited. Given the ample confirmed bookings that they receive from PAN India, an exponential growth is just inevitable.
The Car Mall business is doing well and is running at optimum pace. And now they are exploring the digital scope of automobiles wherein the team is creating content related to automobiles. This content gets published at various public social media platforms and is being consumed by audience worldwide. As an automobile influencer, Shivam tries best to produce and spread content which is nothing but authentic and helps audience when it comes to resolving queries in regards with automotive industry.
Even though Shivam’s family-owned established business into garments and hosiery, he followed his passion for cars and opened up The Car Mall. He takes inspiration from Steve Jobs, who is believed to have the courage to take up an unconventional journey that required higher risk appetite and in spite of countless challenges he continued to believe in himself when no one did and tirelessly stayed consistent towards his achieving his goals.
He believes that both professional and personal journey is usually a combination of struggles, failures and learnings. He had his share of hindrances along this journey. One of the biggest challenges was that he was new to Agra and took a while to understand the city as well as the market and started from ground zero with almost nil network. Immediately after completing college, he joined Kotak Mahindra as a DSA in their car loans department. Gradually built initial connections, gathered some capital and was blessed to find a mentor cum guru.
The biggest learning from these challenges was that he realised importance of connections and networking in the business world and the role of correct attitude and approach. Staying honest, hardworking and consistent can take you to places. Lastly, maintaining consistent business ethics ensures a solid customer base and relationship.
To all new comers he has some valuable tips to share – never be defined by anyone else. To try and not succumb under any pressure and lead the path the way they want to as everybody has their own time zones. You are never late or early; you are on your time. Be patient, as business is more about being absolutely patient and positive. So never ever lose hope if things go wrong. Be mentally prepared and strong to take up any challenge, never give up and stay consistent.
