Born into a family deeply rooted in the legal profession, Mauliv Patel was expected to walk the well-trodden path of advocacy. But even as a child, his eyes were drawn more toward building facades than legal books. “Coming from an advocate family, most would assume I’d follow suit,” Mauliv reflects. “But since childhood, design was where my heart truly belonged.”
It wasn’t just a passing interest. He would often sketch buildings, analyze structures, and dream of spaces that inspired. This fascination didn’t fade—it deepened. Eventually, it became clear that his destiny wasn’t in courtrooms but on construction sites, creating spaces that combined purpose with poetry.
Laying the Foundation: Studio TAG
In 2018, Mauliv turned his lifelong passion into reality and founded Studio TAG, headquartered at 303 Pulse House, Lal Darwaja, Gotalawadi, Surat. What began as a solo venture has grown into a team of more than 10 talented designers and 3D artists. Together, they’ve taken on luxury residential projects, primarily large-scale bungalows and villas, offering clients spaces that are breathtakingly beautiful, yet supremely functional.
“We’ve built Studio TAG on a simple but powerful promise: beauty should serve function, and deadlines should never be optional,” Mauliv states confidently.

Professionally, Mauliv draws immense inspiration from one of the stalwarts of Indian architecture—Ar. Premnath. Known for his innovative thinking and futuristic vision, Ar. Premnath’s body of work has been a guiding light for Mauliv.
“He’s always ahead of his time, and that’s something I deeply admire,” Mauliv says. “He’s shown us that architecture can be both bold and timeless, practical and poetic.”
This influence is visible in Mauliv’s work, where every structure tells a story—of space, style, and substance.

Mauliv’s entry into the market was not with grand villas or large-scale townships. He started small—renovation projects, modest homes, and limited-budget transformations. But he treated every project, big or small, with the same passion and dedication.
“That’s where I saw the opportunity,” he recalls. “Clients wanted quality design and personal attention, even for smaller projects. That was the gap, and I stepped in to fill it.”

“It’s a project that challenged me on every level—from creative ideation to technical detailing,” Mauliv shares. “And that’s why it’s so close to my heart.”
