LIB Education – Building a Language-Strong India

In just over a year since its inception in May 2023, LIB Education has emerged as a rising force in India’s academic coaching landscape. Founded by Dr. Kakali Roy Chowdhury and Mr. Rishin Roy Chowdhury, the institution has already served 500+ students, recorded 300% year-on-year growth, and redefined how language learning is approached in both school and professional settings.

From its base at Bannerghatta Road, Bangalore, LIB Education delivers personalized academic coaching for students from Grade 6 to PU, with a special focus on Sanskrit, French, English, Kannada, and Hindi. Its hybrid learning model—a blend of offline mentorship and online flexibility—has positioned it as a future-ready education provider with nationwide potential.

Founders Who Balance Vision and Execution

With over 25 years of teaching experience, Dr. Kakali brings unmatched expertise in curriculum design and student mentorship, ensuring each learner receives not just subject mastery but confidence and clarity. Rishin’s role as a strategist and operations leader ensures the business is agile, scalable, and driven by innovation. Together, they form a leadership partnership that combines educational depth with business precision.

Addressing a Critical Gap

India’s mainstream education system often sidelines language learning in favour of STEM and exam-focused curricula. LIB Education addresses this gap with tailored learning plans, small group sessions, and one-on-one mentoring—ensuring every student progresses at their own pace. This approach has been particularly impactful for learners who lacked confidence in language subjects or were underserved in traditional classrooms.

Challenges and Strategic Growth

The initial challenges—earning trust, aligning faculty with LIB’s values, and building awareness—were overcome through a relentless focus on quality, transparency, and results. The decision to remain self-funded, starting with just ₹1 lakh, gave the founders full control to shape LIB’s unique identity before scaling.

Today, LIB is actively working towards AI-based learning tools for progress tracking, curated language modules for diverse learner needs, and a franchise model to expand its footprint beyond Bangalore.

Philosophy and Legacy

Guided by the values of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, the founders believe education must be both inclusive and aspirational. They measure success not only in academic results but in the growth of student confidence and curiosity.

As LIB Education moves towards national expansion, its mission remains clear—to make languages a cornerstone of personal and professional growth in India. For the founders, this is not just business—it’s a lifelong commitment to empowering learners to express themselves fluently, fearlessly, and globally.
