Punit Kshatriya embarked on his entrepreneurial journey in 2015 when he founded Akurath Interiors. Despite completing his studies in electronics and telecommunication engineering, he felt that pursuing a job was not aligned with his true aspirations. Realizing that creativity ran in his blood with his artist grandfather and Interior Designer father, Punit decided to pursue his passion for Interior Design. He furthered his education in Interior Designing after engineering and gained valuable experience by working as an Interior Designer under an Architect’s Firm.
With unwavering confidence and dedication, Punit established his own firm, driven by the vision of enhancing the quality of life, promoting environmental sustainability, encouraging social interaction, boosting economic growth, and reflecting cultural values. Punit recognized that Interior Design has the power to shape our daily experiences and contribute to the well-being of individuals and communities.

Along Punit’s journey, he faced numerous challenges such as financial uncertainty, competition, time management, hiring and retaining employees, and managing growth. However, he never gave up and viewed each obstacle as an opportunity for growth and learning.
While education and training were essential prerequisites for launching his business, Punit found networking, honing skills, and mastering design software to be the most significant challenges. Observing a lack of companies or individuals who consistently delivered projects on time without compromising on quality, he identified a gap in the market that his business could fill.
