Sudipta Kesar’s vision is simple yet powerful: make English learning accessible, practical, and deeply personal.
English has always held a special place in Sudipta Kesar’s heart. From the films she watched to the music she loved, the language was more than a means of communication—it was a window to the world. But growing up, she noticed something troubling: despite years of study, many students left school unable to speak fluently or confidently. That gap inspired her to act.

In April 2023, she launched Sudipta’s English Academy, a home-based, self-funded initiative designed to break away from rigid, grammar-heavy methods. Her goal? To make English learning flexible, engaging, and directly useful in daily life.
Her approach is refreshingly different. Classes often start at 8 PM, allowing even busy professionals to join. Batch sizes are small, ensuring personal attention. Instead of rote memorisation, she uses activities, role-plays, and real-world scenarios to bring lessons to life. “Language learning is about consistent effort, not quick fixes,” Sudipta says. “It’s a journey where patience is as important as discipline.”
Like any entrepreneur, she faced challenges. Some learners came expecting instant results. Rather than promise shortcuts, Sudipta helped them set realistic goals and taught them to celebrate steady progress. Drawing from her own experiences as a language learner, she connected deeply with her students, making every class feel like a safe space to grow.
To ensure a professional learning experience, she invested in tools like pen tablets, high-quality cameras, and studio lighting. Her digital presence on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and Google has helped her reach learners far beyond her local community.
Her timing was perfect. In a world where poor communication skills can limit career growth, Sudipta’s English Academy became a place where learners could gain the confidence to speak, present, and succeed.
In 2024, her efforts were recognised with the India Excellence Award for Outstanding Excellence in English Language Education. But Sudipta sees this as just the beginning. She plans to introduce personality development, public speaking, and accent training—turning her academy into a complete hub for communication and self-improvement.
More than just a business, Sudipta’s English Academy is a reflection of her belief that language can transform lives. And with every lesson, she’s not just teaching English—she’s helping people find their voice.
