Taking his father’s legacy forward this young designer is on an expansion spree

Arshdeep Singh – CEO, Classic Decorator

Classic Decorator’s chief promoter has been managing the show for last 20 years, thereby gaining huge equity among clients in and around Roorkee and Uttarakhand. Now his son, Arshdeep Singh, has taken up the responsibility of pushing it to the next level with superior technical inputs and out-of-the-box thinking. Growing up watching his father establish the firm in the domain of exterior and interior business, have had its tremendous impact. Classic Decorators have been active in areas of work such as external elevations, aesthetic facades, manufacturing of UPVC door & windows, aluminium works, vertical blind, ACP works, false ceilings, glass works, wooden flooring, wall panelling, terrace garden, wallpaper etc. They have been providing interior solutions and designing for house, cafe, restaurant, offices, malls, resorts, shops, factory and many other establishments. Roorkee has been their home turf with a well-equipped workshop, display centre cum office in the city.

Their company is enlisted in many government, semi government and private organizations as interior contractors. They are enlisted with CBRI Roorkee & IIT Roorkee too. Arshdeep tells us,

“We have successfully undertaken jobs for reputed companies in Uttarakhand for their units. We have also executed major works for IIT Roorkee, at the campus for their Central Computer centre and various faculty departments. We also successfully completed major project like Asahi Glass, Cannes Club, Hotel Gardenia and much more. These all were completed on turnkey basis. The work involved complete false ceiling, structural glazing & Al partitions for office modules. All were upto the client’s satisfaction and completed in due time.”

Arshdeep started working at the age of 21. From early age, he has been extremely creative and used to sketch and draw creative art pieces. With time, he developed a keen interest in Interiors, which further complemented his creative side as well. Though he wanted to pursue Civil Engineering, but ended up with Interior Designing from INIFD as an additional topping to his core expertise. His first live project was when he was in his first year of college. Currently he has been into the industry for last 6 years and heads a team of around 20 expert designers who are into all kinds of residential and commercial projects. One of their recent completed eminent project is a Jewellery showroom in Dubai.

While the interior & exterior business is well in track, Arshdeep ventured into UPVC windows manufacturing firm named “Classic UPVC” a couple of years back. He wants to grow this venture too alongside the existing business, and have been working hard for the same. Utilising all his networking skills, he is confident in bagging more and more clients. Initial days in business wasn’t that easy for him. Since he started at a young age, clients didn’t trust him initially. But his work spoke volume and brought in confidence within his client base. His father has always been his idol, it is him who has taught him to be a risk taker.

There’s a huge opportunity for his firm to grow, as the demand for housing and increase in urbanisation is the future. Every individual dreams of a great house and that’s where Classic Decorator comes into play. As a young entrepreneur, he has always stayed focused and dedicated. Being creative and free thinker also helps in his line of work. He wants to continue creating some landmark projects and thereby contribute to the society. Our best wishes are with him any which ways.
